These are used when the tooth is fractured or broken down badly.
The porcelain used is strong and made to improve your overall smile as well as providing you with a functional tooth. Porcelain crowns blend in as they do not leave a black line along the gums as conventional crowns do.
For more heavily compromised teeth, a traditional treatment has been a crown restoration, which can take several separate appointments. Using the CEREC® method, crown restoration is completed in a single appointment. No impressions, no temporary crowns – no need for a second injection.
A treatment time of one or two hours is normal.
